Design in GreenGreen design?
Find out how.

Green is the new orange.

Let's face it, marketing and advertising can be very harmful to the environment. There are few industries that generate as much waste as packaging, direct mail, and printing. Here are some ways you can reduce the negative impact of your marketing efforts.

Letterpress printing ~ Modern polymer plates using ultraviolet light, water, and heat in the exposure process produce a bit of plastic waste, but do not require the chemical etching typical of metal plates. Our printers work with the lowest of VOC [volatile organic compounds] for wash-up possible. And we can request recycled or tree-free, cotton paper stock which is perfectly suited to letterpress. In addition, letterpress printing generates little waste. Almost all the paper is used which is the opposite of traditional litho printing.

Digital printing ~ for small runs digital printing avoids film and chemicals used in the normal printing process. Plus we can request environmentally friendly toner inks that are 100% non-toxic.

Non-toxic inks ~ Many printers use or offer non-toxic soy and/or oil based inks.

Eco-friendly papers ~
Recycled paper: there are several options for recycled papers today from partially recycled up to 100% post-consumer waste that is 100% processed chlorine free.
TerraSkin: made from rock and minerals, is a tree-free, chlorine free, paper, which will degrade back into it's source, stone. Plus, it uses 20-30% less ink.
Cotton paper: developed using recycled linters cotton paper is more durable that wood pulp papers, colors appear richer and deeper, and is used frequently for it's quality.

E-marketing ~ instead of a tangible marketing piece try e-marketing. We have done many e-marketing campaigns and together we can develop solutions that make an impact.
