Frog Hollow Farm Tour in Brentwood, California

Posted by on Mar 28, 2011 in Blog | No Comments

I toured the famous Frog Hollow Farm on March 4th. The 133 acre farm is well known for the 25 varieties of stone fruits like peaches, nectarines, cherries, apricots, pluots, plums, Asian and European pears, and table grapes. They also have a modern kitchen in which they make cookies, preserves, conserves, tarts, olive oil, and many other items.

Jeff Bordes, who is the Director of Sales & Marketing, was my tour guide. He seems as passionate and happy about the farm & the products as the owner, Farmer Al. Throughout his farming career, Farmer Al has been a vigorous advocate for sustainable land use, conservation, andĀ organicĀ farming practices. Today, Al lives on the farm with his wife Becky, and their two daughters Maddie and Millie.

The ideal location, hand picking, and commitment to organics has made Frog Hollow Farm a legend. Home of the sweetest, juiciest, tree-ripened peaches, cherries, apricots, nectarines, pears, asian pears, pluots, and plums you’ve ever tasted. You can buy them online here or at their San Francisco Ferry Building Cafe. Seriously, get on their CSA delivery system. You will be amazed at how great their fruits are.
