THE STAY PROGRAM
Keeping families together shouldn’t depend on a price tag. Too often, dogs are surrendered to shelters over simple, fixable behavior issues — not because their owners don’t care, but because they can’t afford professional training. The result? Shelters overflow, fosters are stretched thin, and dedicated staff and volunteers face burnout.
The Stay Program was created to change that. By offering “pay what you can” dog training, it gives families access to the help they need without financial barriers. The goal is simple: keep dogs in loving homes and reduce the number of pets entering already overwhelmed shelters.
Starting in rural Nevada, The Stay Program hopes to grow into a nationwide effort — one that ensures every dog has a chance to stay where they belong: at home, with their family.
